Crossroads Housing 360-427-6919 (households age 25 and older)
Shelton Youth Connection 360-462-0125 (households under the age of 25)
The Department of Commerce has granted state and federal funds to Mason County to provide financial assistance to landlords and utility companies for households that qualify. Mason County subcontracts these funds to Crossroads Housing and Shelton Youth Connection. Both organizations have offices in Shelton and Belfair. The organizations will work with each household and landlord to gather the documentation required by the grant. Once the application is complete, payments are processed in just a few days. Tenants and landlords are encouraged to call for assistance.
As of August 2020, there have been over 225 households assisted across Mason County. Depending on the program, the average rental and utility assistance need has ranged from $2,834 to $4,763 for 3 – 4 months of assistance.
