Donations Always Appreciated
We can always use donations for families staying in our shelter. We have needs for the following items on an on-going basis:
Shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, toilet paper, diapers, blankets, sheets (twin, full, and queen sizes), blankets, tampons, maxi pads, hairspray, gift cards for gas and food, cleaning supplies, towels shower curtains.
All donations can be dropped off at our office (71 Sargison Loop, Shelton) or mailed to our post office box 1777, Shelton, WA 98584
Cash Donation
Sent to Crossroads Housing, PO Box 1777, Shelton, WA 98584 - helps pay for supplies, electricity, water, garbage service to the shelter families.
Crossroads Housing Family Shelter Room Sponsorship
Be a part of making our shelter rooms warm and welcoming, as families start fresh on the road to housing independence. The families we serve in the family shelter are literally homeless, often living on the streets, tents or in their cars. Most often these families come to us with nothing but the clothes they are wearing.
Our mission is to help move homeless families forward in life by helping them achieve greater self-sufficiency and stability through permanent affordable housing. We provide guidance, safe temporary housing, and comprehensive case management, as well as referrals to other agencies providing related specialized care.
When a family enters the shelter they are welcomed with a fully furnished studio apartment with private bathroom.
They work diligently with our team to overcome barriers that brought them to homelessness in the first place. Often these families are experiencing setbacks due to job loss, loss of income, catastrophic medical bills, or family break-ups. We are currently seeking individuals, businesses or groups to aid in the fight against homelessness by sponsoring a shelter room. By sponsoring a room for the year, you/your business or group, will be listed on our website, be recognized in our newsletters, have a small plaque of recognition near the shelter room you have sponsored and receive recognition on social media.
Shelter rooms include: Full/Twin bunkbeds, futon couch, dining table with chairs, shelving units, microwave, pots, pans, stove, refrigerator, dishware, silverware, bedding, hygiene items and cleaning supplies.
Sponsorship option A (Room Sponsor): $2,000 donation, for one year these funds will allow for us to completely furnish the room and purchase items such as bedding, dishes, new furniture as needed.
Sponsorship option B (Bedding Sponsor): $1,000 donation, for one year these funds will allow us to purchase mattresses, mattress covers and bedding for a unit.
Sponsorship option C (Kitchen Sponsor): $500 donation, for one year these funds will allow us to purchase and maintain all items for a functional kitchen. To include dishes, microwave, cleaning supplies, dining table and other items as needed.
